Renault Megane — Bolt Pattern

The Megane's PCD has moved twice: the II (2002–2009) splits by engine into 4×100 or 5×108, the III (2008–2016) went to 5×114.3 on a 66.1 mm hub, and the current IV (2015 on) kept 5×114.3 but shrank the hub to 60.1 mm. Thread is M12×1.5 bolts throughout.

Common questions

What bolt pattern does the Renault Megane have?

The Megane's PCD has moved twice: the II (2002–2009) splits by engine into 4×100 or 5×108, the III (2008–2016) went to 5×114.3 on a 66.1 mm hub, and the current IV (2015 on) kept 5×114.3 but shrank the hub to 60.1 mm. Thread is M12×1.5 bolts throughout. Check the table above for your exact generation, and confirm against a wheel or the owner's handbook before buying.

Will other wheels fit my Megane?

Only wheels with exactly the same bolt pattern — bolt pattern has no working tolerance. The centre bore must also be equal to or larger than the hub (a larger bore just needs spigot rings). A different pattern needs bolt-on adapters, which also push the wheel outward and change the track.

What is the centre bore on a Megane?

60.1 mm on the current car — earlier generations may differ, see the table. The bore is the hole in the middle of the wheel; it has to clear the hub spigot or sit on a spigot ring.

Bolt pattern is only part of fitment. The offset (ET) decides where the wheel sits in the arch — work that out with the wheel offset calculator. For tyre sizing on a new wheel width, use the tire size calculator.
