Mercedes-Benz GLS — Bolt Pattern

The GLS (X166 from 2015, X167 from 2019) has stayed 5×112 with a 66.6 mm hub since launch. Standard trims run M14×1.5 bolts; verify AMG 63 variants separately as some may use a different thread.

AMG 63 trims reportedly use a different thread pitch — confirm before ordering bolts for those.

Trims and markets vary — verify against your own wheel or the owner's handbook before buying.

Common questions

What bolt pattern does the Mercedes-Benz GLS have?

The GLS (X166 from 2015, X167 from 2019) has stayed 5×112 with a 66.6 mm hub since launch. Standard trims run M14×1.5 bolts; verify AMG 63 variants separately as some may use a different thread. Check the table above for your exact generation, and confirm against a wheel or the owner's handbook before buying.

Will other wheels fit my GLS?

Only wheels with exactly the same bolt pattern — bolt pattern has no working tolerance. The centre bore must also be equal to or larger than the hub (a larger bore just needs spigot rings). A different pattern needs bolt-on adapters, which also push the wheel outward and change the track.

What is the centre bore on a GLS?

66.6 mm on the current car. The bore is the hole in the middle of the wheel; it has to clear the hub spigot or sit on a spigot ring.

Bolt pattern is only part of fitment. The offset (ET) decides where the wheel sits in the arch — work that out with the wheel offset calculator. For tyre sizing on a new wheel width, use the tire size calculator.
