BMW 1 Series — Bolt Pattern
The RWD 1 Series (E81–E88, F20/F21) is 5×120 on a 72.6 mm hub, like every other RWD BMW of the era — E-generation cars use M12×1.5 nuts, F20/F21 moved to M14×1.25. The FWD F40 (2019 on, shared UKL platform with MINI) switched entirely to 5×112 on a 66.6 mm hub.

Common questions
What bolt pattern does the BMW 1 Series have?
The RWD 1 Series (E81–E88, F20/F21) is 5×120 on a 72.6 mm hub, like every other RWD BMW of the era — E-generation cars use M12×1.5 nuts, F20/F21 moved to M14×1.25. The FWD F40 (2019 on, shared UKL platform with MINI) switched entirely to 5×112 on a 66.6 mm hub. Check the table above for your exact generation, and confirm against a wheel or the owner's handbook before buying.
Will other wheels fit my 1 Series?
Only wheels with exactly the same bolt pattern — bolt pattern has no working tolerance. The centre bore must also be equal to or larger than the hub (a larger bore just needs spigot rings). A different pattern needs bolt-on adapters, which also push the wheel outward and change the track.
What is the centre bore on a 1 Series?
66.6 mm on the current car — earlier generations may differ, see the table. The bore is the hole in the middle of the wheel; it has to clear the hub spigot or sit on a spigot ring.
Bolt pattern is only part of fitment. The offset (ET) decides where the wheel sits in the arch — work that out with the wheel offset calculator. For tyre sizing on a new wheel width, use the tire size calculator.
