Common questions

What bolt pattern does the BMW 4 Series have?

The F32/F33/F36 (2013–2020) is 5×120 on a 72.6 mm hub; the G22/G23/G26 (2020–present) switched to the smaller CLAR-platform 5×112 on a 66.6 mm hub. Both use M14×1.25 bolts. Check the table above for your exact generation, and confirm against a wheel or the owner's handbook before buying.

Will other wheels fit my 4 Series?

Only wheels with exactly the same bolt pattern — bolt pattern has no working tolerance. The centre bore must also be equal to or larger than the hub (a larger bore just needs spigot rings). A different pattern needs bolt-on adapters, which also push the wheel outward and change the track.

What is the centre bore on a 4 Series?

66.6 mm on the current car — earlier generations may differ, see the table. The bore is the hole in the middle of the wheel; it has to clear the hub spigot or sit on a spigot ring.

Bolt pattern is only part of fitment. The offset (ET) decides where the wheel sits in the arch — work that out with the wheel offset calculator. For tyre sizing on a new wheel width, use the tire size calculator.
